I decided I would do a new segment called "Getting the Look." Frankly, this blog is more music than style, and so I need to change things up a little. So here we go.
Today's Style Inspiration is Madaleine Noelle, a Vancouver musician who gets
her inspiration from the likes of Laura Marling, Duffy, and the Ditty Bops. I was quite overcome with happiness when I found her Myspace Music page. She's absolutely gorgeous, stylish, and of course, an extremely talented musician!
I especially liked this picture for some reason. Even though the black and white makes it hard to tell what she's wearing, she looks soft and feminine, something I don't see enough of anymore.
Top
I absolutely adored the cute little sleeves on her top, so I had to incorporate them into the outfit somehow. They're short, and sweet.
Shoes
I don't know why, but I imagine this look with cute, simple cowboy boots. Less is more! Don't go for a pair of flashy, sparkly pink cowboy boots. They're not worth it.
Accessories
I would actually go for a less colorful (aka, simpler) necklace than this, but it's the right idea! Beads, beads, beads!
Finish off this sweet look with a floppy straw hat! It's a look that's ready for picnics in the sun, frolicking in the meadow, and enjoying life with your loved ones!
